Care Standards Site Launch

Over the coming months, the project team and nominated representatives from the business will continue to work together to implement the new changes. The new standards will be implemented by:

  • Mapping current state against the future state
  • Performing a gap analysis between current and future state
  • Working with key representatives from the business to ensure the outcomes are aligned with the needs of our homes and services
  • Developing training and education plans that support our homes and services to implement the new changes

These include:
Workshops – Identified teams will be invited to participate in short sessions to provide insights and feedback to help guide decisions

Working Groups – representatives from across the business including employees from our homes and services have been invited to take a central decision-making role in the Project. This group will guide and support the design of our new standards framework, education and processes.

The working groups have started development of:

  • Clinical Assessment & Documentation
  • Palliative Care & Advanced Care Directives
  • Acute Deterioration
  • Pain Assessment & Management
  • Cultural Safety & Diversity
  • Admission & Arrivals
  • Environment
  • Continuous Improvement

The project team have also been working on strategies to successfully showcase where we can (and do) offer choice, risk and how we can allow resident/client engagement to drive meaningful change.
