KNOWING IS CARING

The second wave of new standards communication centres around ‘knowing is caring’ demonstrating we CARE. For us at Regis, it is about offering Choice; Asking the person; knowing the Risk; Every time.

Training

We recently released the new standards training and education plan to all our facilities, home care and day therapy centres. Training commenced on 30 May and will run for the next few months. The first education module centres around core training – introducing the new standards and behavioural changes.

Training will be divided into three modules:

  1. CORE TRAINING: Introduction into the News Standards and behaviour changes.
  2. ROLE-SPECIFIC TRAINING: Tools and support for your role specifically.
  3. CONSOLIDATION: Bringing both the core training principles and the role-specific training to life.

Online Video

On 24 April, the Commission and Altura Learning joined forces to create an educational video program exploring the new standards for service providers. The 30-minute video explores the eight new standards. Click here to watch

Online Training Module

Altura Learning has also developed an online training module. We are currently investigating if this content would be complementary to our current training plans, more information will follow shortly.
